Lucas' Dedication
Lucas was dedicated in our church a few Sundays ago. He did great in the service and we were so happy that Derek's parents, my parents & family and a few of my good friends could make it!

My Alma Mater
Lucas and I had a blast from the past (well, my past anyway) and visited my old stomping grounds in Arden Hills. We met my friend Kristen who works at Bethel to catch up a little bit and then toured the new campus store, dining center, etc. It was so odd to be back because part of me felt like I had never left, but part of me felt like college was a lifetime ago. It made me miss the good old days of dj-ing at WBCS and seeing how long we could stay in the DC and staring at people in Market. Those were the days!
Lucas and I checked out Royal Stadium. I think I probably went to a total of 5 football games throughout my whole undergrad experience and it will be a shock to Derek if he comes with me to a game since Royal Stadium is definitely a far cry form Camp Randall.
And of course, the baseball field.
If I really wanted to show you where I spent my college life, I should have taken pics in the WBCS recording studio where I would fall asleep watching Lost in a dark 5x5 room with soundproof walls. Or the Admissions office where I'd play Text Twist and read celebrity gossip websites between giving campus tours. Or the downstairs computer lab that honestly was an inferno.
Anyway....maybe next time.

Two Month Check-up
Guess who is nearing 2 months old already!? He is 8 weeks old today and had his 2 month check-up at the doc this afternoon. When we got called back, the nurse freaked out about my "mini-me." She just couldn't get over how much she thought he looks like me. He is doing great - 12lb. 10 oz. which is in the 97th percentile and a little over 22 inches long which is in the 50th percentile. What a champ.
He also had SOME (I can't believe how many there are!) of his immunizations. He had 3 shots and then one oral one that turned his mouth purple. He was so happy, smiling and cooing at us and then BAM she stuck him in the thigh...times 3. It actually took him about 5 seconds to realize that it hurt and then he screamed his head off but just for a couple of minutes. I was very proud of him and how fast he calmed himself down. Now we have another 2 months until we have to do it all again!

Back to work...almost
Lucas and I went to my work for lunch on Wednesday. This looks like a nerdy first day of school pic, but I thought it was funny. It was great to see all my coworkers again, but made it sink in that I'm down to only a few more weeks at home with this kid.
We stayed a little longer than I expected so I had an extremely tired baby when we got home. He took a 3 hour nap and then went to bed at 10 and slept another 8 hours! Watching me delete several hundred emails, talk to IT on the phone, and being passed around to the Payroll ladies really wore this guy out. Here he is napping in the swing from Aunt May May.
