We drove down to see my Grandma & Grandpa for Easter.  Lucas cruised around the senior center in his walker and was so funny to watch.  All the bigger kids were pushing him in the walker and "playing tag" with him.  Here he is with GREAT grandma & grandpa mccloud.

I did it. I turned 25. My sister Kelly came to visit....mainly to see Hannah and have a wedding shower....but it just so happened to all fall on my birthday too!  So fun to see her!

Our first Twins game of the season....April 28.....and we wore winter gear and brought blankets.  I'm pretty angelic looking I know, but I have the heat lamps to thank for that.  Derek had a happy birthday message on the scoreboard for me. So cool!  Even though I almost missed it....or kind of did miss it.  But I saw "christa" "derek" and "lucas" and based on my maternal instinct I'd fill in the blanks with a "happy birthday" and a "love your family."  Lucas also had his first sleepover last night and it was our first night away from him.  He slept at Papa and Mimi's because we got home late and we'd just have to wake him up again in 6 hours to take him back.  It was logical and practical and I'm sure he didn't care one bit....but I was missing him BIG time this morning.  Can't wait for 2 days straight with little Lukey now! TGIF!

Happy Easter!

We had an Easter egg hunt at my parent's house on Sunday.  Lucas was left out of the hunt due to not being able to walk or eat candy....he will have to join in the fun next year though.  

He did manage to have a good time chasing Paisley the puppy while he was in his walker.  Both of them were moving too fast to get any good pics though!  Lucas is also practicing balancing without holding on to anything...he wowed us all by standing for almost 10 seconds on his own!  No real steps yet, but I have a feeling it's coming sooner rather than later.  

Baby Cousin Hannah!

Lucas has a new cousin!  Hannah Joy was born this morning at 1:26 am.  My sister Katie has been having contractions since WEDNESDAY and Hannah ended up needing to come out via c-section early Saturday morning.  I'm sure they are ALL exhausted!  Hannah was 9 lbs, 21 inches and just perfect!  We got to go visit them at the hospital Saturday night and it was so much fun to hold such a tiny baby again.  It's hard for me to remember that only 9 months ago, Lucas was that little!  We are so excited for baby Hannah to be here!   Here are some pics of our hospital visit.

Today was my last day at home with Lucas. :( He's given me a run for my money this week in terms of NAPPING (or lack there of). Here's a pic of us in our twins gear...happy home opener!

Swings, Take 2

Today marked day one of my short and sweet stint as a stay at home mom.  We celebrated by going to the park for a quick swing.  I start my new gig on Monday so Lucas will be back at Papa and Mimi's.  I wish this week could last like, oh, forever!

Lucas enjoyed the swings a lot more this time as it wasn't frigid cold temps.  Maybe a little breezy for our liking, but a nice start to spring.  He didn't like looking at the camera much because a grandma and grandpa were there with their grandson that were much more entertaining to Lucas than good ol' mom with a camera in his face.

Lucas got his first Twins hat this week and guess who got snap happy with the cam?  OOPS! So here you go, picture overload of pictures that only look a tiny bit different from each other.  If you can't do this with your firstborn child, when can you? Oh, and go Twins!

PS. Lucas just chucked Derek's xbox controller across the room. Early signs of his professional sports career that 22 years from now will go to pay off his poor mother's student loans!
