Lack of updates
We STILL have no internet. And don't even bother asking why because it will not end well. I was ready to hunt someone down and go all Shawn T. on them yesterday. (I realize there is probably 1 person out there who knows who Shawn T. is so nevermind on that too.)
Anyway, my camera is loaded of cute pics of Lukey, we are in crunch time for our wedding (AND reception), and I miss shopping online more than I can tell you. But I will keep holding my horses until NEXT TUESDAY when we are supposedly having someone come to our house to hook us up with the 21st century.
So..................more to come.

New Words! New House! New Video!
Are you sitting down? Oh good. Because I have some BIG news to share. That house we put an offer on back in August? Well it was finally approved in late October and we officially closed TODAY. We are homeowners! I'll post some pics this weekend hopefully. We went over today to start on yardwork and clean the carpets and my camera conveniently ran out of battery for the first time ever when we tried to take a picture in front of our new home. Oh well, more to come.
Speaking of batteries, our flipcam has been out of battery for about 2 months now. I know I have some cute vids on there that I need to share but I also have a computer that is on the edge of glory. And by glory I mean crashing. So storing videos and pictures on it is a little scary to me knowing they may magically disappear at any time. Someday, post-move, I will try to get them on here. In the meantime, I've discovered my trusty HTC shoots an ok vid and figured out how to share it on here. So without further ado, here is Lukey showing you his latest tricks....
I'd say he's up to roughly 10 words that are understandable. Most of which he demonstrated above. He speaks fluently in a baby language that we haven't quite picked up on yet.
I forgot about this video on my phone...oops.
As long as I can remember, I've dreamed of the video I would take of my baby eating a lemon for the first time. Mostly because I used to be obsessed with this Youtube video in college
So we tried it at El Rodeo...and unfortunately I had too high of expectations. Lucas' reaction was less than entertaining. But he's still cute, isn't he? Sorry this is like almost 3 months old.

Lukey with one of his babysitters while we went to the game. (Thanks Ashlynn & Becky!) He even cried when they left. He doesn't even do that for us!
Playing with his laundry basket.
Spaghetti night required an emergency trip to my parent's house to borrow their SteamVac. It also explains why his bathtub mat is now stained orange.
Lucas & Derek doing Lucas' new dance move. It kind of looks like a penguin waddle.
the kid is FAST. about .1 second later me & my camera were tackled.
where's Lukey?

Daylight Savings time is like a mean joke for parents of babies. The rest of the population gets an extra hour of sleep, but the poor moms & dads out there just feel like they're waking up an hour earlier. I gave Lukey an extra long bath tonight and we are letting him play & read books & wrestle & scream as long as his little heart desires tonight in hopes it will get us to 8:00am tomorrow.
I think I'll spend my "Extra Hour" tonight cleaning up this mess.
Go Bucky!
I saw a Gopher's version of this hat at the 2010 MN State Fair. I spent much of the remaining month of my maternity leave trying to find out if there was a Bucky version. I gave up on it for awhile but lo & behold at the 2011 WI State Fair, there was a ZooZatz booth. It was like glowing with the lights of heaven and a Hallelujah chorus started to sing when I saw it (ask Shannon & Derek. :) I don't know why I was so excited, but you better believe I snagged a toddler Bucky hat for Lucas. Here he is, Bucky Baby Model.
