Happy Spring!

Before you judge our parenting of letting Lukey run around coatless with snow on the ground still...you should know this was over the course of about 3 minutes and it was pushing 60 degrees out today...practically a heatwave for us Minnesotans....a far cry from ONE week ago when we had a gigantic winter storm that cancelled EVERYTHING (except for work for me & Derek of course). Had to get a little energy out before dinner so we did laps around the deck.

Art Project from church last week....Derek's car is covered in tiny beads now.

Outside fun at the cousin's house today.
Packers coat, camo pants, stick in hand...this boy is definitely 50% Wisconsinite.

This pic is about 5-6 weeks old, but it just makes me laugh.  Grandma & Grandpa Adamczyk took Lucas to Chuck E Cheese for the first time and he came home wearing this glittery mouse shirt.  Isn't he the cutest?

"What's wrong with these photos?" photos

Here's a nice mix of pics of out sweet little 19 month old boy.  One of these cracked me up...can you spot it?

Please enjoy these pics that I took from 6:00pm - 7:30pm tonight when I found my missing memory card. waiting for dinner, coloring with "mah-kas," running laps around the kitchen, and posing with a mini helmet. (not pictured: dinner, bath, & 3 timeouts for biting)

To Wisconsin & back

Little Scootsie eating his little scoopie

I've never worked harder than I did from Eau Claire to Mpls...trying to entertain him backwards and buckled in was quite the challenge, but someone had to do it.  He was demanding JUICE and OUT for nearly 2 hrs.

This was approx. 3 minutes after we pulled into the driveway.  new dipe, pants off, and a little MMCH...welcome home.

The packers didn't make the superbowl so we have moved on from football to cheering for the wolves.  We went to a game last night that was awesome (along with great commentary from the men behind us) and we snatched the opportunity to bring Lukey something home from a winning team. (.500 = "winning", right?)

lol

I haven't blogged for awhile so I will catch you up on our 18 month stats.  Lucas has been consistently in the 25%-50% for weight and 50% for height.  He's as average sized as they come which is ok with me because it means that 18 month clothes actually fit my 18 month old. I suspect he will be in 2T when he's 2 and 3T when he's 3, etc. Predictability is great, isn't it?  As we speak, he's dumping water from his sippy cup and "keening" it up with a rag. I suspect Mimi is the one who taught him how to "keen."  He also likes to say Bahk-pahk (back pack), Hold me, Help, Whaaaat, Lub Ooh (love you), and Bookiss (Lucas).  He is fast at making friends in the nursery at church and he is becoming a great "howler" as we watch the Wolves games together. He's down to usually taking one nap a day...we are still working that new routine out though.  He likes to eat "booberries" and "gapes" and raisens which he thinks are "num num!"  He takes them to his little snack table and just talks about how num num they are between each bite.  We've also experienced the wonders of too many grapes/raisens so we need to ration the portions for him. He likes going to "tah-get" with mama and telling people where the "app-ohs" and "hahts" (hearts...valentines day junk) are and also waves hi and bye as loudly and animated as possible to...well...everyone.  He's a great colorer - his fave colors are "lellow" and "geen" - who's surprised?  And for the most part keeps to coloring on the paper however I was reminded when I took these pictures I have some "lellow" crayon marks to clean off the patio door.  oops, I'll get to it someday right after I get Bookiss the 'gookie' he's been asking for since I started this.
