Happy Father's Day!

Check out the new tooth
Daddy's home!

I can't wait to make them re-enact this at the high school graduation party in 18 years.
Why walk when you can run?! Running is Lucas' preferred method of moving these days.
#1 Baby. Or almost 1 year old baby. whatever caption you prefer.
Papa & little Derek (doesn't he look so much like Derek here?? Is it just me??)

Go Twins!

On Saturday we went to the Twins game and brought Lukey.  He was great and the people around us loved him not to mention it was a perfect day for a baseball game.

This is actually from way back in April. Notice any special messages?!

Baby's day out

Here's a mish mosh of pics. A couple from last week and then some from the Como Zoo.  We made the trek over to St. Paul with some friends for Lucas' first trip to the zoo.  He loved the monkeys (but sorry, no pics of him loving the monkeys.) and as for the rest of the animals....well, let's just say it was a free zoo.
Check out those teeth!  This was from last week and they are still on the verge of coming through.

Update

Our little walker is really starting to walk all the time now. Still takes quite a few falls, but that's mainly because he gets overly confident and tries to go too fast. He's never down for long though.

His top two teeth are on the verge of coming through! They look big which means he definitely has the McCloud teeth which also means I'm starting a dental/orthodontist fund like...yesterday.

I butchered his hair for the first time this week too.  I snipped away while he ate dinner one night.  It's a pretty pathetic excuse for a "haircut" but the baby mullet had to go.  I think we'll need to pass the haircutting torch (scissors) off to a professional for his first REAL haircut in a few months.  But in my defense, if you've seen Lukey in person the past few months, you know it was time I to put an end to the party in the back.  Hopefully Lucas forgives me when he gets a new look that's all one length.  Until then, we will live with the choppiness.

He's starting to eat more finger foods and actually is LIKING it. Hot dog, cheese, banana....he's also learning that it's hilarious to throw food (or anything) on the floor so his mama has to pick it up. Then he does it again. and again. and again.

He had 3 more words this week: Go, Papa, and Caden!  Tonight in his bath he was jabbering the whole time about his best pal Caden.  He seems to give a little intro before he says it though so it sounds like "ga ga ga cay-nen!"  He whispers papa, screams dada and whines a long drawn out mmmmmaaaaaaam--------ma.

Swimming!

We put the gifts from Grandma & Grandpa Adamczyk to good use today and went swimming for the first time!  Lucas was all set - he had his floaty tube, shades, sporty towel, swim dipe, swim trunks, sunscreen, water toys...the boy was ready!  At first we got little to no expression...Lucas likes to hide his emotions a lot so it was this blank squinty stare with a serious face for the first 10 minutes or so.  Once we started splashing a little bit more, he loved it.

Two thumbs up for Wok & Woll! (& swimming)

Level 1 - mastering the back float

This was just before the pool got PACKED with little boys and water guns.  Needless to say, we left shortly after...

Plus Lucas was getting pruney.

Plus it was time for lunch.

after a full day of swimming, pizza ranch, and wrestle/play time with Dada.

Guess the sunscreen really worked. No sunburn (or any color at all!) for Lukey.  His mama was not so fortunate...

Look who tries to climb EVERYTHING & ANYTHING!
